Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! Volunteers are ready to help for up to two hours on Saturday mornings (9:30am-11:30am). They’ll do the best they can within their limits.

Help with chores like yardwork, cleaning, painting, running an errand, or even just sitting down and visiting with you. If you need help with something not listed, don’t be afraid to ask. Our volunteers are limited to two hours each Saturday morning.

Anything that is unsafe, illegal or requires certain credentials to complete properly.

Tell us what you have to get the job done (i.e. tools, supplies, equipment, etc.) and if you’re missing something, we’ll chat about creative ways to ensure everything is there for Saturday to get the job done.

Volunteers have been vetted via a criminal record search and character references. Our volunteers also serve in groups of 2-3.

No! We’ll never push our faith on you. Of course, if you’re curious about spiritual things, we’ll be happy to chat with you as best we can. At times, we might ask if it’s ok to pray for you, but we’ll respect your answer.

We’re an outreach ministry of an evangelical church called Parkside, located near the Clarke Theatre/Heritage Middle.

Our volunteers are motivated by a desire to love others as Jesus has loved them. As mentioned above, we won’t push our faith on anyone, but we hope that your experience makes you curious about God. It is our long-term hope to open a new church in West Mission filled with people in the area who love God too.

Our focus is West Mission (West of Hurd St.). If you know of a need East of Hurd, we’ll pass on the request to see if other folks at Parkside Church can meet the need.
